2016  bees fiber garden

My Artist Journey

I have been smitten by Tartan.  You know those colorful plaids of Scotland.

Well,  I don't live in Scotland, I am at home with the colors of the desert and people of New Mexico.  So I am in the midst of a New Mexico based Tartan season.  Take a look at my creations in the gallery page

And now Rugs along with new blanket designs.

Also in the works...  I have purchased Heritage Blankets from EVFAC.   I have the loom, have ordered the yarn, and will soon be working on the new designs for blankets.   The theme of this project is patterns that depict the culture and landscape of New Mexico, while promoting the Churro Sheep herders of New Mexico and Colorado.  Churro is a heritage sheep which has provided Native and Spanish weaving for generations.  Heritage Blankets promotes this culture.

I will email and send the link to this new project when it lanches later this summer.
